rachel weiss

Rachel Weiss is an emergency management consultant with extensive experience responding to natural disasters and humanitarian crises at home and abroad. Recent engagements include supporting the COVID-19 medical response at the US southern border, managing donation solicitation and distribution for over 10,000 Afghan allies living on a US military base, and leading a team providing medical surge staffing for the Navajo Nation early in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rachel has extensive field experience directing Operations and Logistics teams for more than a dozen natural disasters and COVID-19 medical operations for a global nonprofit disaster response organization and through her own emergency management consulting firm.

She is grateful for the continued opportunities to pursue her passion to provide meaningful and impactful assistance when survivors of disasters and their communities need help the most.

The Augustae Annia Foundation extended a personal invite to Rachel and was grateful of her acceptance to join the Situation Unit and Board of Advisors for the Ukraine mission. She brings a wealth of background expertise as well as significant insight into the interpersonal mechanisms necessary for field leadership success in a high-stress response environment.
